    Mor Shilon

    The UP-Hub is led by Dr. Mor Shilon, a sociologist and an urban planner who specializes in relational theories, inclusive planning, technology and innovation, and planning methodologies. Her research focuses on diverse experiences of present-day cities, critical planning pedagogy, and on developing research methods to advance inclusive planning research and practice.

  • Haven Lo

    Haven Lo

    Haven Lo is a student in UC San Diego's Urban Studies and Planning Department, working with Dr. Shilon at the UP-Hub to investigate urban injustices and uncertainties. They also currently work as a researcher at the UCSD Homelessness Hub. Originally from Hong Kong, their research interests center on community engagement in planning, and understanding urban society through mixed-methods.

    Caren Aguirre

    Caren Aguirre is a Mexican American environmental justice advocate from Imperial Beach, California, dedicated to addressing pollution, food insecurity, and access to outdoor spaces in South Bay San Diego. As an Environmental Science and Urban Studies and Planning student at UC San Diego, she works to empower her community through legislative advocacy, environmental stewardship, and urban planning initiatives
