Young Scholars Symposium 2025

Bringing together young scholars from UC San Diego, UCLA, Technion, and the communities of Jisr Azzarqa and Logan Heights, the symposium provided a platform to share experiences and insights on community engagement. The diverse group of graduate students and early-career scholars engaged in meaningful discussions about the challenges and opportunities of working with underrepresented communities. The event featured an open dialogue session where participants reflected on their hands-on experiences, fostering an exchange of ideas across different social, cultural, and geographic contexts. Additionally, two academic sessions were dedicated to exploring practical methodologies for conducting community engagement and showcasing case studies that highlighted successful collaborative efforts. These sessions provided a space for critical reflection on best practices and innovative approaches to fostering inclusive and effective community partnerships.
